What should I bring with me to my meeting with Tax Goddess Business Services?
In order to make your time spent with us as effective and efficient for you as possible we request that you bring the following information with you to your appointment.
If you are a NEW CLIENT:
- A copy of the most recently filed tax returns for both your business and your personal tax files
- Please make sure that if you own a business of any kind, including rental properties, that you make sure you have the Depreciation Schedules with your return (we can help you figure out what those are if you aren’t sure, just ask us!)
- If you own a business:
- A backup copy of your QuickBooks file, or a copy of however you handle your bookkeeping
- A copyof the IRS letters stating they’ve approved your tax return classification status (if applicable)
- A copy of the EIN (Employer Identification Number) letter from the IRS when you first setup your business
- A copy of your articles of incorporation or formation
- A copy of your operating agreement
- A copy of any election statements made by your business (for example, S-Election(2553) or 168(k) election for depreciation)
- A brief paragraph describing what your business does to make money, and any special situations that you would like us to be aware of
- For your individual file:
- A list of everyone in your family whose name appears / will appear on your tax return, children, spouses’, other dependents birthdates (Month / Day / Year)
- A brief paragraph describing what your personal life looks like at this moment as well as any special situations that you would like us to be aware of
- A Client Bio Sheet
If you are an EXISTING CLIENT:

For a Tax Drop Off / Interview with your Preparer Meeting
- If you have a business:
- A completed Business Organizer Checklist
- A signed Engagement Letter with deposit information and 1099 information filled out
- A QuickBooks Backup file, or accountants copy file (you may upload this here)
- If you run your payroll with someone other than the Tax Goddess Payroll Team please bring your year end payroll statements (W-2, W-3, 940, 941, 944)
- A brief paragraph describing what your business looks like at this moment, any special situations that you would like us to be aware of, or any major changes that have occurred since last year
- For your personal return
- A completed Personal Organizer (if you did not receive yours in January, please email us by clicking here)
- Please make sure you also bring all of your “tax documents” with you (exmp’s: W-2′s (wages), 1099′s (interest and dividends), 1098′s (home mortgage), Etc.)
- A signed Engagement Letter with deposit information and 1099 information filled out
- A list of everyone in your family whose name appears / will appear on your tax return, children, spouses’, other dependents birthdates (Month / Day / Year)
- A brief paragraph describing what your personal life looks like at this moment, any special situations that you would like us to be aware of, or any major changes that have occurred since last year
- A copy of you (and your spouse’s – if applicable) last paystub of the year
- A listing of any states that you lived or worked in during last year
- A Client Bio Sheet
- A completed Personal Organizer (if you did not receive yours in January, please email us by clicking here)
- If you have a business:

For a Tax Planning Meeting (Typically in June/July and again in October/November)
- If you have a business:
- A QuickBooks Backup file, or accountants copy file (you may upload this here)
- A brief paragraph describing what your business looks like at this moment, any special situations that you would like us to be aware of, or any major changes that have occurred since last year
- For your personal return
- A brief paragraph describing what your personal life looks like at this moment, any special situations that you would like us to be aware of, or any major changes that have occurred since last year
- A copy of you (and your spouse’s – if applicable) last paystub
- A listing of any states that you lived or worked in during last year
- A list of any major transactions that you would like to plan for in the upcoming timeframe
